judges celebrated 100 years of justice being dispensed at the High Court in Glasgow.
At a centenary ceremony held in the North Court, Scotland's top judge, The Lord Justice General Lord Gill urged both prosecutors and defence to proceed "fearlessly, skilfully and with honour."
Afterwards Lord Gill unveiled a plaque marking the 100 years since the court reopened on July 7, 1913 after a three year renovation project.
The current Saltmarket court was erected on the site of the previous court, but completely rebuilt with only the front portico remaining.
