A SUPERMARKET manager is retiring after 50 years in the business.
Bill Laverty, of Clarkston, started his career in Govan at Galbraith Stores.
He secured a manager's role and worked across the country after the firm was acquired by the Co-operative.
The 65-year-old received a fond farewell by colleagues at the Co-op's Westmain Road store in Whitburn.
