A CONTROVERSIAL comedian who vowed to retire his Dapper Laughs persona following a backlash over a rape joke is appearing in Glasgow.
Daniel O'Reilly is set to take part in a meet and greet with fans in Campus Glasgow.
It comes after the comic said he was ditching his Laughs character after a video emerged of him telling an audience member that she was "gagging for a rape" during a live show.
His ITV2 show ended in November last year after one series and his UK tour was axed following a storm of criticism.
He then claimed the controversy had wrecked his life.
The comedian will meet fans on April 2 at Campus, in Sauchiehall Street.
However, some Glasgow residents have questioned if the venue should have booked his act.
A Campus Glasgow spokeswoman said: "We are really looking forward to having him.
"It is going to be a really student friendly night. We're just getting up to meet his Glasgow fans."
