Cops probe Greenock daylight murder bid
POLICE are probing a daylight murder bid after a teenager was stabbed.
The 19-year-old was stabbed as he walked along a street in Greenock with his girlfriend at around 3.30pm yesterday.
As the couple approached the corner of Finnart Street and Nelson Street, the victim was pushed to the ground and stabbed.
The suspect was last seen running towards the South Street with another male.
Police said the victim was rushed to Inverclyde Royal Hospital following the attack.
Medics today said his condition is described as "stable".
The suspect was wearing a burgundy top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
