COUNTRYSIDE rangers are urging families to get out in the fresh air and discover the natural world.
A raft of events are being held the first week of May to let people find out about local wildlife.
Rangers are holding Wake up to Birds at Cairnhill Woods in Bearsden, teaching about why birds sing and how to identify different species.
On the John Muir Way, the Ranger Service and Glasgow Geoconservation Society will take people along the walk, with views of Antonine Wall and local volcanoes.
For these and other events, email rangers@mugdock.org or call 0141 956 6586.
