BUILDINGS across Renfrewshire are throwing open their doors this weekend to celebrate the area's heritage.
A tannery, two sports centres and an ambulance station are joining more traditional choices like churches and museums in the Doors Open Day programme.
More than 50 venues in Paisley, Lochwinnoch, Kilbarchan, Elderslie, Johnstone, Houston, Bishopton, Inchinnan and Erskine will be open on Saturday and Sunday.
The programme this year features a Renfrewshire Diabolical Diaries Passport. Youngsters who have their passport stamped at five participating venues can claim a certificate and free gift at Paisley Museum.
Renfrewshire Provost Anne Hall said: "Renfrewshire has an outstanding architectural heritage and that is shown to great effect in this year's programme."
The Doors Open Day programme and Children's Passport are available from participating venues, council offices, libraries, arts centres and museums as well as Paisley Abbey.
