AN 86-year-old man, who was attacked in his home, was stabbed three times and suffered two punctured lungs, a consultant told a murder trial.
The High Court in Glasgow has heard that OAP Norman Busby was rushed to the Southern General Hospital after an incident at his home at Raeswood Drive, Crookston, on April 9.
His partner 51-year-old Isabelle Sanders was stabbed to death after an intruder burst into their home.
Dr Philip Munro, a consultant in emer-gency medicine, told advocate depute Bruce Erroch, prosecuting, that he checked X-rays and found that both Mr Busby's lungs had collapsed, but a CT scan showed no signs of internal bleeding.
He was giving evidence at the trial of Paul McManus, 19, who denies murdering Miss Sanders and attempting to murder Mr Busby.
The trial before judge Lord Armstrong continues.
