LOCAL wheelchair curling stars Robert McPherson and Aileen Neilson have been selected to compete at the Winter Paralympics.
The talented pair are among five Scots who have been selected for the 15-strong team to compete in Sochi in March.
Robert, 45, from Bellshill and Aileen, 42, from Strathaven, were congratulated along with the other Scots by Sports Minister Shona Robison.
She said: "The Winter Paralympics is the pinnacle for any athlete to reach, I therefore wish them good luck as they aim to reach the top."
