The future of an A-listed historic garage will be decided tomorrow after nearly four years of campaigning against its redevelopment.
Botanic Gardens Garage in Glasgow’s West End was subject to a planning bid in 2007 but owner Arnold Clark backed out of the proposal following vociferous objections.
However, one year after the move was abandoned, the firm submitted revised plans, which include retail, restaurant and office space with car parking.
Glasgow City Council’s planning committee wil consider the application tomorrow.
The council’s planning officer is backing the scheme but local campaigners say they will continue to oppose the proposal.
