ALISTAIR Darling has been challenged to explain the future of the NHS if Scotland votes no to independence.
Campaign group NHS for Yes has written to the Better Together leader with questions about the issue should England pursue private health provision.
Group co-founder Dr Willie Wilson said: "The No campaign is trying to cover up the consequences for Scotland of NHS privatisation in England. They are saying everything will be fine, while colleagues in England and Wales are warning of a health service on the 'cliff-edge' and a deliberate policy of shrinking the public sector."
The questions include asking if people will be expected to pay for health services that are currently free.
Better Together say that health is devolved and only the Scottish Parliament can privatise the NHS in Scotland.
