A CONVICTED drug dealer is back behind bars after he was found with a large stash of high purity cocaine.

Clyde McCombe was held after being released early from an eight-year jail-term.

Police found cocaine with a potential value of £327,000 following the raid at the car park of the Asda store in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

McCombe was jailed for six years and eight months after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of the class A drug.

It was the 58-year-old's fourth drugs conviction from the High Court in Glasgow.

He was jailed for five years in 1995 before being handed a seven- year term in 1996.

McCombe was then locked up for eight years in 2005, but was freed early from Castle Huntly jail last year.

The raid at the Asda car park took place on August 14 this year after police got a tip-off.
