DJ and stage star Des Clark is nursing a leg injury after an accident in panto - but he followed the old showbiz adage that the show must go on.

The Capital Breakfast Show presenter, who is performing in Aladdin at the King's Theatre Glasgow, suffered a severe cut to his right leg during Thursday's matinee performance.

Des, who stars alongside Karen Dunbar, plays Wishee Washee in the production.

He said: "I was jumping about mad when I hit the set and the set hit back. But the brilliant audience spurred me on. As every professional knows ... the show must go on.

"I'm not sure what I am going to tell my mates - injured while performing in tights - I will never live it down."

Meanwhile, fellow panto star and Clyde 1 presenter Shebahn Littlejohn has revealed she is leaving the station on Christmas Eve to move to London.

Shebahn, who is starring as Lampwick in The New Magical Adventures of Pinocchio at The Pavilion, will move after performances finish in the New Year.

The travel reporter is taking a "leap of faith" and moving with her boyfriend to Wapping, London.

Shebahn, who is looking for a new job, said: "I am hoping to start anew."
