Tommy, you reveal your dazzling wit and intelligence with your remarks. Surely, you can only be a Labour voter. Oh no, wait...maybe you can't vote since you don't live here, or are you a postal vote? Whatever. If it's all the same with you I'll use my own judgement and vote SNP on May 3rd.

I don't believe that the labour party realise how unbelievably negative it is for their campaign that Brown and Blair continue to travel North and stick their huge feet in their mouths.
All they do is come up here and patronise intelligent people, and then say that they know best and we can leave it all to them in cosy old downing street.
Brown said that Ireland was one of the poorest counties on the planet after it achieved independence. Duh Mr Brown, but that was 80 years ago and independence preceded the great recesssion of the 30s.
What he expects is for everyone to nod their heads and say thank you Mr Brown for pointing that out. I was at a business seminar on the union and it was clear that many there despised this way of being talked to.
I hope that their negativity continues as its turning a lot of people against them.

300 years and the unionists are still doing the same old tricks.
Alien Act of February 1705 [bold](Labours election campaign 2007)[/bold] . This forced the Scots into a decision, that by Christmas day [bold](3rd of May)[/bold] they had to choose the House of Hanover [bold](the Labour Party)[/bold] (which is who the English wanted to succeed Anne), or renegotiate the union policy [bold](or not give the SNP the majority)[/bold] . If they failed to choose either then England would treat all Scots as aliens, all trade would be destroyed and any claims of land that Scots held within England would be reclaimed. If this were to happen it would prove disastrous on Scotlands commerce.

As a Tory voter I am really struggling to decide because I believe in many (old) Tory policies that Scotland have still not adapted to take them into at least the 1980's, but also believe Scotland would prosper and develop socially under the SNP and particularly when independant.
For SNP economic policy to really work there needs to be independance to stop the treasury riding rough shod over the executive with PFI and effective asset stripping that is taking place. The problem is just like housing transfer is linked to eradicating debt, so PFI is linked to the Scottish grant in effect. The treasury will not allow alternative forms of capital expenditure and management of the NHS, railways etc because they are tied into the current arrangements with big business. I started this by saying i am a Tory, and that is a Tory of the Margaret Thatcher years where she liberated areas of the economy that needed to be liberated and have been a benefit. No-one can argue that telecoms de-regulation has not worked. Look at countries where it has not happened to prove this. Likewise the "right to buy" that morons like Lavish McTavish Sheridan, Colin Snake (sorry Fox) and all the others in the loony left want to end has also been a success. Lack of housing stock? Why did the councils not use the receipts from "Right to buy" to build or refurbish their derelict stock? Much better to waste the money on their looney policies and then they can blame the lack of housing on the Tories.
Privatisation under Labour has been of benefit to Gordon Brown's stealing policies, such as pensions and to the benefit of the private sector buyers. Air Traffic control, bought by the airlines then bailed out by us the taxpayers. Where is the benefit. Likewise the entire property portfolio of HM Revenuue & Customs (including Scotland) sold and then leased back to a company based in a tax haven. Another deal that was bailed out by another moron, GOrdon Brown. Where is the benefit of these privatisations for taxpayers.
It would be an interesting treaty negotiation to end the union, but lets be honest with business on side, as it is at present there is no-one better to lead the negotiations that Alex Salmond
Time for change? I don't think so. Its time for a revolution in Scottish politics and the right to self determination restored after 300 years of being a colony.
Alex you probabably have my vote for Prime Minister, but I will vote Tory for the region.

Gordon Brown doesn't realise that part of the attraction of the SNP is around self-respect for the people of Scotland.
He had sold his soul so many times, that he has forgotten whar self-respect is about.

The reason guys like Tony are in New York and why I am in Sydney is because alot of Scots get the opportunity to work in these great cities because we've worked our a$$ off to get there (quite simply the best get attracted to the big cities and the big money). If Scotland was run by the SNP I predict there will be further brain drain because of the embarassment caused by the loonies running our country. You have absolute no right to say who gets the opportunity to have a say in Scottish affairs....every Scottish person has the right to air their view and people like you hold the country back.
