A DRIVER had a lucky escape after his Land Rover ploughed into a wall.

The accident happened on Balmore Road, near to Bardowie.

It appeared the vehicle suddenly lost control and mounted the pavement before crashing into a garden wall. It demolished a large section of the wall before overturning on to its side.

The front of the car took the brunt of the impact but the driver didn't needed medical treatment.

Strathclyde Police said investigations were continuing into yesterday morning's accident.
