With this lack of respect of the dead never mind the living, how can we seriously expect people from the other side of the world to visit and stay in 2014.
Were increasingly bringing up such a nation of disrespectful neds, with no respect for their elders, those in authority, or even the dead.
Until we get back to basic values in the classroom, and teach children respect, discipline, and right from wrong this kind of behaviour will simply become "the norm."
Where do they get the money for these quad bikes in the first place ? Or are they stolen.
Theres always more to these stories. And if this is to be a one off, more police after the event is too little too late.

That is a non-starter for the following reasons. Firstly, the authorities are so bent, corrupt and criminal, it is impossible to hold any respect for "authority". Third, once the "disciplined" kids leave the military, they struggle to care for themselves in civvy street without being ordered from above, and a disproportionate percentage of the homeless are ex armed forces. The other thing being that many ex army guys end up commiting violent crimes, especially if they have come home from some war zone that they have been sent to, fighting for corporate capital. Do you really want some violent neds trained to shoot accurately while robbing some shops? Life was very different back in the 1950s, and a lot of the same ills that happen today happened back then too - the only difference was that everything was hush-hush back then. The othr thing there is that back then employment was more stable as working class kids left school and went straight into the same trades that their forefathers went into which was a tradition passed from father to son. This was broken during the Thatcher era and we can't just go back to the so-called "Golden Age".

Neds have been using the necropolis for years as a drinking den, then when they discovered there were deer they went up and slaughtered them and now this. But they do this in every park in Glasgow so why would they leave the necropolis alone? What a lovely city we live in!

perhaps glasgow city council should invest some money into an area were children could go with their quad bikes,instead of selling every bit of spare ground to developers.also the developers themselves should not get planning applications passed unless they leave space in their developments for children to play/have some fun.P.S once again the parents are to blame why would you buy your child a quad bike when you live in a concrete jungle.the west end has a great skate park for youths it is a total success well used by children from all over the city so why are glasgow city council

of course these people have no respect youve only got to look at thier scumbag parents too see where they get there scence of right and wrong from! i agree with many comments stating that if a parent is not deemed to be psychologically fit e.g they dont threat to stab thier neighbours or sing things like "hullo hullo" then they shouldnt be allowed to have kids PERIOD! there offspring should be fostred to a couple who REALY want a child and to give it the upbringing it deserves!

We can read about kids with quad bikes and we can see on newsreels stories about kids with quad bikes and the damage that they do, so...what do parents with kids who HAVE quad bikes read and see? Nothing by the looks of it.
WE will never apprehend these scumbags, nor the boozing and druggie teen yobs whilst their parents/guardians couldn't care less what they get up to!
Incidentally, many cemeteries and old headstones have been vandalise over the years in Glasgow. We seem to have bred these louts throughout the generations. Sadly, we will just have to live with them; the Police apprehending rate among the them is a joke in rather dubious taste.

It took lads away from home and after 8 weeks of stupid marching and drilling and a few more weeks of boring training, put us into boring meaningless jobs. The best jobs were reserved for regulars. We were under paid and under used. With only 5 shillings a day less National Insurance we finished up with less than 30 bob a week. The result was every NS lad was bored out of his skull and counted the days to demob.
I met a lot of great lads but I came across more rough customers than I would have met in my normal course of life.

GCC are as much to blame for the lack of quad driving facilities are they are for the lack of monster-truck driving facilities. Quad bikes have no place in the city whatsoever, and they should be banned from the streets. We all know the kind of person who would be using them.
