A fan's face sums up the moment Rangers' party came to a crushing end.
Thousands of Rangers fans packed into Ibrox Stadium tonight to watch the Uefa Cup Final.
There was a party atmosphere as 25,000 high-spirited supporters gathered at their team's home ground in Glasgow for the tie against Zenit St Petersburg at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Ibrox was buzzing as flag-waving fans of all ages sang, clapped and danced ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off.
But the dream was to end in tears as first Igor Denisov, then Konstatin Zyryanov scored.
The match was beamed live to three huge screens at the stadium.
Gates at Ibrox were originally due to open at 6pm but officials started letting fans in two hours earlier due to the huge demand for seats.
In the build-up to the match, fans, many of whom had queued for hours outside the stadium, could be seen running to get to their seats.
A huge roar went up from the crowd as messages from some of the Rangers players appeared on the screens.
Footage of Rangers' road to the Uefa Cup Final was also shown.
