A WOMAN'S body has been found in a Glasgow park.
Police sealed off the entire area around Queen's Park in the South Side after today's grim discovery.
Park attendants found the body, believed to be that of a young woman, around 9.45am.
Detectives were quickly on the scene and drafted in forensic experts who are focusing on an area of bushes close to Victoria Road.
A fleet of around half a dozen police vehicles sat in the middle of the park, with officers guarding entrances.
One man, who didn't want to be named said : "I had been walking my dog in the park and was sitting on a bench when I heard that attendants had found A body."
A city council park attendant had been on site at around 8am but at that stage there was nothing untoward.
He said: I had already left the park when I got a phone call from a colleague about the body."
A police spokeswoman confirmed a woman's body had been found, and added inquiries were continuing.
