THESE are some of Glasgow's iconic landmarks as you have never seen them before beneath a mighty flood.
Large tracts of the riverside in Glasgow, including the Science Centre and Armadillo, are constructed on the former flood plain of the Clyde
- and this is how they will look if the waters rise to catastrophic levels.
The scenes are part of a new online computer game that lets players make the kind of decisions faced by governments as they juggle industrial development, flood prevention plans and environmental concerns.
And, as the picture suggests, getting it wrong in the real world could spell disaster.
The game, which also includes disaster simulations for other cities such as London, Birmingham
and Manchester, was developed by insurance firm Norwich Union. Its aim is to alert homeowners and businesses to the dangers of flooding and the factors that can influence the impact of the climate.
