A FORMER gymnast could be on the springboard to business glory.

Lisa Tobias has been shortlisted for a Franchisee of the Year Award, which honours the UK's best performing franchise owners.

The 27-year-old from Shawlands, who quit university to open a Domino's Pizza outlet, is up against nine other people from across the UK.

Since opening her first shop in Clydebank four years ago, she now runs outlets in Govan, Ayr and Kilmarnock and has become the company's second biggest female franchisee in Britain.

And now she could win a £5000 prize and the British Franchise Association's title.

She said: "Running four busy Domino's stores is a real challenge and a highly rewarding job. I'm keen to expand my franchise network across Scotland."

Lisa also serves as an ambassador to the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust.

She will hear if she has won at the finals in Birmingham on October 2.
