YOUNGSTERS from two Glasgow schools enjoyed
a master-class in gospel singing as part of the city's Inspiration arts festival.
Pupils from Notre Dame
High in the city's West End and Lochend Community High in the East End were given expert tuition from Liberian-born Jerry
Boweh.
The Glasgow-based musician, lead singer of seven-piece band Bassa Beat, set up the Glasgow Gospel Choir for adults 10 years ago.
The choir aims to bring a taste of gospel to the West
of Scotland, and is an amateur, non-denominational, community group which has performed in venues throughout the country.
Jerry, who is a political
exile and has been granted
the indefinite right to remain in the UK, hopes to launch
the city's first youth gospel choir following the success
of the Arches Theatre masterclasses which the pupils certainly seem to have enjoyed.
