Superbug delay fears
 

Delays in obtaining test results for the superbug MRSA range from 18 hours to more than two days in hospitals around Scotland.

Health experts have warned the significant variations in the time it takes to establish MRSA could mean some patients are having vital treatment delayed.

The discrepancies were revealed by Audit Scotland, which found waiting times for checks such as scans have been cut but services could still be more efficient.
