THE number of Scots caught drink-driving has fallen by more than 20%.
And police today praised people for reporting offenders after receiving a record number of phone tip-offs.
Latest figures from the festive drink-drug purge show 184 drivers arrested in the second week of the annual crackdown - 51 fewer than last year.
In Strathclyde, 80 people were arrested. Assistant Chief Constable Jim Green warned: "There is no room for complacency."
