SHOPS are being urged to ditch their skinny mannequins for larger ones to end the "unrealistic ideal" of women portrayed by the fashion industry.
Dennis Robertson MSP, whose daughter Caroline died in 2011 following a five-year struggle against anorexia, has been campaigning for more to be done to tackle eating disorders. He is using a members' debate at the Scottish Parliament to urge more stores to follow the example of Debenhams which has said it will introduce size 16 mannequins.
