The youngster from Bridgeton was on hand to help launch Scotland's first major book festival for children.
Wee Write! will take place from March 5-11 next year, and the new festival of more than 100 events is expected to attract audiences of around 12,000.
Julia Donaldson, the former Children's Laureate and author of kids' bestseller The Gruffalo, has backed the event.
She said: "I'm delighted to see this initiative coming from Glasgow Libraries service."
