Car buyers have more reasons get into gear this month after Scotland’s top car sales website offered customers a double cashback deal.
S1cars.com, which last year became the first UK classifieds website to pay car buyers to find their next car, has dished out a cash reward of £50 for buying a vehicle tagged with their Cashback logo.
Hundreds of people have already benefited from the offer and in addition to picking up a cheap Ford Escort runaround or a more luxurious Alfa Romeo, they’ve been able to use their cash bonus for buying tax, insurance or treating their family to a day trip.
To celebrate the success of the bonus scheme, the company, which is part of top internet company s1 – itself part of the Herald and Times Group – is doubling the amount of cashback for one month only.
It means that if a buyer finds their new Cashback car in September and returns to the website to claim their reward, they will receive a reward of £100 cashback.
Customers have been thrilled with the much-needed extra windfall at a time when finances are tight for everyone.
To qualify for the deal, customers first search s1cars.com and look for vehicles with the Cashback symbol.
They can then register their interest by clicking on the “bank this car” button.
S1cars launched in January 2008 and is part of s1, Scotland’s most successful internet firm, which also operates websites in the recruitment, property, entertainment and training markets.
Mark Smith, s1 managing director, said: “The success of the cashback offer is measured not only in the number of people claiming their cash back but also the popularity among car dealers.
“Since the launch we’ve doubled the number of cars available on the offer. There are now more than 4000 Cashback cars, giving our users more choice.”
