THE second week of a festive drink drive crackdown has snared more than 100 motorists.
Police breathalysed 6000 drivers - around 873 people every day - catching 101 motorists across Scotland over the legal alcohol limit from December 13 to December 20. A further seven offenders were found unfit to drive due to the effects of drugs.
So far, 194 people have been caught in the Scottish Government's Festive Drink Drive campaign.
Superintendent Iain Murray, head of road policing for Police Scotland, said: "No matter how much or how little over the limit they may have been, they have all broken the law and we will deal with them like we would any criminal."
