A SPECIAL project based on the hit reality TV series Come Dine with Me has launched to help people with dementia.
Staff at housing and care charity Bield's Whitehill Court complex, in Kirkintilloch, set up 'Mary's Kitchen' which offers carers and service users the chance to eat from a special menu.
The once-a-month evenings were created in memory of Mary Abel, who worked at the Bield day support service for 18 years, before she died earlier this year.
Whitehill Court service manager Rhona Forrest said: "People with dementia can't always go out to restaurants as it can be a stressful experience for them."
