Cops drop cab licence ban fight

Police have dropped all licensing objections to a Glasgow taxi firm they once branded a front for organised crime.

Senior officers of the Strathclyde force withdrew formal concerns about Springburn-based Network Private Hire after a well-known underworld figure left the firm.
