Legal threat to MSP over lap dancers

Owners of lap dancing clubs are threatening to sue an MSP and a women’s rights campaigner for branding dancers “prostitutes”.

They’ve called in lawyers which could jeopardise a vital vote on the new Criminal Justice and Licensing Bill.

It follows remarks made by the SNP’s Sandra White and Ann Hamilton, of the council-funded Glasgow Community and Safety Services group.
