Restaurant booze ban as raid nets illegal workers

A Chinese restaurant has been banned from selling alcohol for six months after a raid by immigration officials, gang-busting teams and police.

They found it was staffed almost entirely by illegal workers.

All but one of the nine workers in the King’s Lodge buffet restaurant in Union Street, Glasgow, at the time of the raid were illegal immigrants.
