Restaurant inspection scheme gives diners food for thought

Hygiene levels in more than 180 Glasgow eateries failed to meet legal requirements, council health chiefs have found.

Restaurants, shops and takeaways came under the spotlight after the city council signed up to the Food Hygiene Information Scheme (FHIS) run by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) in Scotland.
