THE elite of British swimming have taken the plunge at Glasgow's Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
With the newly-refurbished venue being used for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, the British Gas Swimming Championships is proving a perfect warm-up event.
Stars including Olympic silver medallist Michael Jamieson, World and Commonwealth medallists Fran Halsall and Hannah Miley and World Championship finalists Craig McNally and James Guy are among the 600 athletes taking part ini the event, the first ever been held outside of England.
The six-day event, which finishes tomorrow, includes both able-bodied and Para-Swimming races and is a selection meet for Glasgow 2014.
