A NEW service is being launched to allow terminally ill young adults to receive end-of-life care at home.

The 'Rest Assured' Home Service' is a partnership between the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

It offers young people over the age of 16 with terminal illnesses the choice to receive care at home at the end of their life. It is the first time that such a service has been offered in Scotland.

CHAS, a Marie Curie nurse and a district nurse will work with patients and their families to discuss how their needs can be met at home.
