THE worried family of a missing Glasgow pharmacist has appealed for help in tracing her.

Dr Lucia Piacentini, 44, disappeared from her flat in Cathcart on Sunday.

There have been four reported sightings of Lucia since she went missing from her home, two at the Haggs Road entrance to Pollok Park, between 6.30pm and 7pm on Monday, and in Pollokshaws Road on Tuesday at about 2pm.

Police are also investigating reports she was seen at the Chophouse Brasserie in Glasgow's Merchant City at 8pm on Wednesday.

Lucia has three brothers and six sisters and is an aunt to 23 children.

Her sister Chiara Piacentini, 46, said: "The family are devastated. We're an extremely close-knit family.

"We've been out searching all over the city, and we're pulling together."

Lucia's civil partner Fiona Rae, 45, added: "My message to her is, there's nothing we can't sort out.

"Please get in contact with someone if you feel you can't come home. Just let us know you're safe."

Her family say her disappearance is completely out of character.

Dr Piacentini is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, of stocky build with short black hair and brown eyes.

When last seen, she was wearing a burgundy coloured hooded top and a khaki skirt.

She may be carrying a red Berghaus rucksack.

Inspector Taylor Grant of Cathcart Police Office said Lucia suffers from depression and did not have her medication when she disappeared.

Anyone with information should call Cathcart Police Office on 0141 532 4900 or 101.
