FIRE crews tackled a blaze at a restaurant in Edinburgh's city centre.
The fire, which is believed to have broken out in the kitchen of Mexican restaurant El Cartel, was reported shortly after 10am yesterday.
A fire service spokeswoman said no injuries had been reported and firefighters had been "checking residents' flats" above the restaurant in the city's Thistle Street.
Fire crews used breathing gear and two hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
