FIVE men have been arrested during a police drugs crackdown.
The men, aged 64, 49, 42, 37 and 35, were huckled in the vicinity of the Glasgow Fort shopping centre and Cumbernauld Road yesterday.
Officers scoured properties in Bearsden, Ayr, Irvine, Robroyston and Leeds during the intelligence-led operation and recovered a stash of amphetamines worth around £100,000.
They also found a five-figure sum of cash whilst searching the five properties.
A police spokeswoman said: "Five properties were searched in College Gate, Bearsden, Henry's Place, Drongan, Ayr Drive, Irvine, Cortmalaw Crescent, Robroyston and Broadgate Drive, Leeds.
"A quantity of amphetamine was recovered with an estimated street value of around £100,000.
"A five figure sum of money was also recovered.
"Police Scotland is committed to tackling serious and organised crime at all levels, and we recognise the damage it causes local communities across the country.
"Anyone who has any information on people involved in these types of crimes, are asked to contact police on 101.
"Information can be passed in confidence to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
