FIVE people have been rescued from a fire at a tenement flat.
Around 50 firefighters fought the blaze in a first-floor flat at about 10.15am yesterday, removing five residents through windows.
A further two people who managed to leave the building themselves were taken to hospital with severe smoke inhalation.
