CHURCHYARDS will be in the spotlight at an event held by the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership.

The group is holding a Living Kirkyard event at Paterson Church, Stonehouse on Saturday from 1pm to 3pm.

It will feature a series of talks from local community groups and experts exploring the nature, history and culture of the valleys' churchyards and how they can be looked after.

Graveyard expert Dr Susan Buckham was contracted to study rural churchyards in Wishaw, Dalzell Estate, Dalserf, Glassford New Lanark and Stonehouse.

MUSIC students from Motherwell College's Performing Arts Department have been to Edinburgh to raise money and awareness for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The students performed on top of Princes Mall ahead of releasing their debut album, The Showcase.

Fleeto and Wee Andy is a double bill piece about knife crime and its impact upon young people.
