Italian visitors to Glasgow for the Celtic v Inter Milan match will be able to pay for their bus tickets in Euros.

First Glasgow, Scotland's biggest bus operator, has confirmed it will accept the currency from Wednesday until Friday this week.

Euros will be accepted on all First Glasgow services except the Glasgow Shuttle service 500.

A single £1.95 ticket will cost three Euro and a £4.10 FirstDay ticket six Euro.

Fiona Kerr, First Glasgow's managing director, said: "With thousands of supporters expected to arrive in Glasgow for the match, travelling by bus will be one of the easiest ways for them to get to the stadium from the city and back.

"By accepting Euros as well as Sterling, we hope to make journeys around the city, as well as to and from Celtic Park, as easy as possible for both home and away fans."

Supporters heading to Celtic Park can travel on First Glasgow services 2, 60, 60A, 61, 255 and 240 which run to and from Central Station on Argyle Street, Trongate and the stadium.

Celtic are taking on Inter Milan in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League.
