A SCOTTISH Premiership footballer is due to appear in court today accused of obstructing five police officers and of kicking another cop.
The incident was alleged to have happened less than 24 hours after he had played in Dundee's 2-1 defeat to Celtic at Celtic Park last November.
Dundee star Paul McGowan, 27, from Airdrie, was arrested in the early hours of November 23 after an alleged incident at a house in the town's Wheatholm Street.
The midfielder, who began his career with Celtic, faces charges of resisting arrest, obstructing and hindering five police officers.
