OLD Firm stars teamed up to encourage men to get fit and lead healthier lifestyles.
Players from Rangers and Celtic, as well as Partick Thistle, joined forces to persuade them to take part in the Men's Health Forum Scotland (MHFS) 10K race next month. The aim of the event is to encourage men to try walking, jogging or running the race as a way to start living more healthily.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist said: "I would like to wish all those entering this year's Glasgow Men's 10K the best of luck.
"I know many will be running in aid of worthwhile charities.
"I encourage as many men as possible to sign up, enjoy the exercise and take part."
The race will take place at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on Sunday June 16, Father's Day.
There will also be entertainment, family activities and a 1K Rascal Run for boys and girls aged up to 14.
Partick Thistle midfielder Stuart Bannigan said: "It's maybe an idea to get a group of your friends together and all do it together. It could be a great day out."
