HISTORIC Scotland has unveiled its plan to promote Gaelic.
The agency's five-year Gaelic Language Plan has been accepted by Bord Na Gaidhlig, the Government body responsible for support-ing Gaelic in Scotland.
It includes practical steps to incorporate the language into Historic Scotland's daily operations, including bilingual services such as Gaelic signage.
Ian Walford, acting chief executive at Historic Scotland, said: "Gaelic is a fundamental part of Scottish culture, and we at Historic Scotland are keen to support its promotion, not only as an important part of our country's heritage, but also as a living language."
New initiatives will include expanding Gaelic guide books.
