SPORTS fans using North Ayrshire Athletics Club now have a new shelter thanks to a Commonwealth Games legacy fund.
The shelter is an extension of the club's vision to be a centre for sporting excellence.
Club chairman Blair Pettigrew said the shelter was a "shot in the arm" and provided a much needed multi-use facility to enhance its sporting efforts.
Councillor Alan Hill, Commonwealth Champion and Cabinet Member for Community, Culture and Policy, said: "This new addition to NAAC is a sure sign that the North Ayrshire Legacy Plan is right on track in delivering legacy outcomes.
"It will provide an essential gathering point for athletes."
