POLICE are hunting a gang who attacked a man on his way home.
The 41-year-old man was walking near to Unit Four at Hillington Park, Queen Elizabeth Avenue, when he was attacked by three men.
It happened at around 1am yesterday.
The suspects ran off and the victim managed to phone for help.
He was rushed to the Southern General Hospital where he was treated for a serious facial injury.
All three suspects are white, between 20 and 28-years-old and wearing tracksuits.
Detective Sergeant Ross MacDonald said: "This would appear to be a totally unprovoked attack on a man as he walked home.
"It is unclear in which direction the suspects ran off and we are currently looking at CCTV to obtain more information.
"I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Queen Elizabeth Drive around 1am and may have seen the three suspects hanging around the area."
