Men are growing moustaches to support the annual charity campaign, Movember, which raises awareness of men's health and prostrate cancer this month.
The first Scottish Mo Running 5K will be on Sunday, November 20 at 10.30am at Glasgow Green.
Stuart Gibson, 44, from Milngavie, will be among those taking part after changing his life this year.
He said: "In January I was 15 stones and a 20-plus a day smoker.
"By March I was two stones lighter. Now I am an ex-smoker and have taken part in five 10K races, two half-marathons and a marathon for Breast Cancer Care.
"One of my friends grew a very impressive 'Mo' for charity last year, and after seeing an ad for Mo-Running, I thought, 'That's for me'.
"I intend to grow my own and also want to raise money as well."
Over the last year Mo-Running has seen events taking place in London, Milton Keynes, Dublin and Australia.
