A GLASGOW pub famed for its range of single malts and blends has been awarded the title of Whisky Pub of the Year.
The Bon Accord scooped the prestigious title for the first time after impressing a series of mystery drinkers who sampled its wares anonymously before reporting their findings back to the Good Pub Guide.
The pub sells around 380 different whiskies, which range in price from a few pounds for a nip to a £165 dram of 40-year-old Glenfiddich single malt.
It has won 27 different awards over the years for its range of beers and whiskies, but this is the first time it has scooped the award bestowed by the pub-goers bible.
Owner Paul McDonagh said: "It's judged by mystery drinkers who check the pub out for food, drink and ambience so we're very pleased.
"What we have is both quality and quantity, so there are whiskies for those who just want a nip or the real connoisseurs.
