A boxing team from Police Scotland is set to take on counterparts in Staffordshire Police in the ring during next month's charity match.

They hope to raise money for the fund set up to support survivors and families of victims who died when a helicopter crashed into the Clutha pub in Glasgow on November 29.

Organisers are urging businesses to support the event, which takes place from 6.30pm on March 22 at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh.

The venue has capacity to accommodate more than 700 spectators.

Mike Leask, captain of the Scotland team, said: "This is going to be a fabulous evening of entertainment and we're determined to come out on top.

"None of those taking part will be pulling any punches and the standard will be very high."

The mixed sex bill will see the two teams undertaking 10 contests, each consisting of three two-minute rounds.
