PUPILS from Millersneuk Primary are celebrating a very good start to the new year.
The Lenzie school has scored top marks in its latest inspection report, scoring "very good" for four elements of learning.
Councillor Eric Gotts, convener of East Dunbartonshire Council's education committee, visited the school to congratulate staff, pupils and parents.
He said: "This is a wonderful report of which everyone at Millersneuk Primary should be proud.
"It is clear that the inspectors were impressed by the leadership demonstrated by the head teacher and his ability to foster productive relations with parents.
"They also commented on the positive relationships that have been built up between staff and pupils, which is so important to the success of any school."
Millersneuk was also given a "good" grading in its fifth category.
