PUPILS had great fun making waves in the science world.
These youngsters from Calderwood Primary, Rutherglen, helped launch Tigtag, an award-winning digital resource designed to help primary age children understand science.
Pupils from P1 and P2 had fun experimenting with waves and vibrations with Dr Alasdair Allan, Scottish Minister For Learning And Science.
Tigtag provides teachers with more than 600 short films, integrated lesson plans, extensive background information on science topics and support materials.
Dr Allan said: "The sciences are vital for Scotland's economy and we want to ensure pupils are getting the right opportunities to engage with these subjects.
"By giving primary pupils access to resources such as Tigtag we stimulate their interest, which, we hope, will have far-reaching effects in relation to their subject choice and careers."
The resource was welcomed by the department of Physics and Astronomy at Glasgow University.
