Web body GLASGOW is about to become Scotland's capital for 'green' homes, slashing fuel bills by hundreds of pounds.
More than 300 homes of the future are being built across Scotland, and at least half of these will be constructed at five locations in within the city and all will be available for rent.
The innovative housing boom is expected to trigger investment of £39million and has the backing of the Scottish Government.
It has given the green light to grant aid totalling £13.5m for building projects involving 335 eco-friendly homes.
